The Show Must Go On

REFLECTIONS : DAY 2

" Fatima you switching quicker between tabs"

"Thank you Vicky" for such a lovely positive comment and for your support.

Yes, the "Show Went On." Also a huge thank you to Jason Brewer! He kindly took me through the process to complete the screen recording and embedded the video. What a lovely end to Day 2.

It was Sink or Swim. My brain and body went into low gear as I read the instructions of the tasks. I was taken completely out of my comfort zone, flustered and confused. I approached the tasks with much trepidation. A reminder as to how many of my students feel daily when they faced such challenges in the classroom.

What have worked since the last time we met?

Opening, closing tabs, exiting the screen and locating a few correct keys. Learning new words such  HTML, and Embedded. I have learnt why we have to use HTML and the difference between COMPOSE and HTML. I have been introduced to Google Keep,Google Mail and Google Calender.

What did I learn that could be used with my learners?

I have to practice and be positive. I need time and support to gain a better understanding ofthe Google Mail, Google Calender and Google efficiently and confidently. I look forward to share these features with my students.

  2. Kia ora Fatima,

Thank you for your honest reflection. DFI can be a big learning curve for some of our teachers, but please remember us facilitators are here to help, and so are the others in our bubble. It was great to watch the video of you and Jason discussing the students blog post. I would suggest choosing one thing from the day that you think would be most useful for you and revisiting that. Which do you think would have the biggest impact on you?
    See you tomorrow!
